More good news from South of the Border! You may remember last week we received some information stating that DNA testing had been done on both Isabella and the birth mother. Well...there was a little sentence that was added to our report that was of great interest. The sentence read, "also you will be happy to know that family court interviews were conducted that same day." We began to wonder, "how can family court interviews be conducted if we are not yet in family court?" We sent an email to our agency and the answer...YES! You have entered family court! The really good news is that we actually entered family court on October 11. In the words of our agency, "Obviously this is one they are pushing pushing to get out before vacations." Come on! Let's get this one out before vacations!

I-797 approval 9/19 (we actually received the letter 9/25)

One final piece of good news. It is now less than two weeks before we get on an airplane and have our passports stamped for another trip down to see Isa in Guatemala City! Things are moving along, but still we cannot wait to get her home. They told us that this would be the toughest part of the adoption. However, we had no idea that it would be this tough to be apart from her! The agency suggests picking up a new hobby or learning Spanish to help pass the time. What I am learning now is that there are not enough languages that can be learned or hobbies to try that could possibly help this time pass quicker!
